September: Multilingualism and Education conference
On 17-18 September 2009, the Mercator Network of Language Diversity Centres will be hosting a conference on ‘Developments in the language teaching and learning curriculum, at primary school and in secondary education’.
The conference will bring together policy-makers, language planning professionals and those involved in language transfer and teaching. The conference will provide those working in the field of language learning and linguistic diversity the opportunity to exchange research results and best practice. The focal point will be the role of language as an influential factor within social cohesion, economic prosperity and the specificity of regional identity.
