The European Commission is in the final process of drafting a new Communication on Multilingualism. The final document will be presented by Leonard Orban, European Commissioner for Multilingualism, in Paris on the 26th September.
The NPLD has put together an opinion paper in response to the consultation held by the Commission which can be found by clicking on the link above.
Members of the network are hopeful that their key objectives and ambitions for less widely used languages will be included in the Communication and give further recognition to their status on a European level.
