Short note on organisation background	The Secretaria de Política Lingüística (SPL) is the Secretariat for Linguistic Policy in the autonomous government of Catalonia. It was created by the first democratically elected government of the Generalitat de Cataluyna in 1980 and it is part of de Department of the Vice-Presidency. Its aims are to give impetus to the development of linguistic legislation and to monitor the implementation of linguistic policy. It is joint member with Linguamón - Casa de les Llengües. “
