Short note on organisation background |
FiBLUL is an umbrella organization, which was first organized as the Finnish member state committee for EBLUL in 1997. The languages that FiBLUL deals with are Swedish (national language) the three Sami languages (indigenous languages), Roma, Yiddish, Tatar, Russia and Karelian. The member organizations within FiBLUL all have the mandate to be the spokesmen for their own historical minority language in Finland.
