Today the Welsh Language Board has published a report which looks at a wide range of statistics relating to the Welsh language, concentrating on the number and percentage of Welsh speakers, their literacy skills and the active use they make of the language. The report, which has been written by Hywel M. Jones, is the most comprehensive statistical overview of the Welsh language to date.
