On Wednesday 20th March the NPLD participated in the European Parliament’s Commission on Culture, the most important meeting of the European Parliament dealing with linguistic diversity and the promotion of languages. The NPLD gave an overview of the state of play of Constitutional, Regional and Small-State languages in Europe and encouraged the Parliament to increase its support to linguistic diversity.

Today NPLD’s Policy Adviser is at the European Commission’s meeting on the Civil Society Platform on Multilingualism. The Platforms’ main goal is to gather key stakeholders across Europe in the field of languages and education.
